Pop Up Drainage Emitter for Downspouts, Yard Drains, Gutter Drains (Connects to 4” PVC)

Flooding in basements and the failure of buried downspouts are often caused by grass growing over the discharge area. To address this issue, we have created the turf restrictor plate - allowing grass to grow on top of the 11.5 inch plate without obstructing the lid from opening and letting water out.

The kit includes FDM's Turf Restrictor Plate with Pop-Up Door, a 90 degree elbow, and FDM’s 4 inch Riser. The massive 4-inch opening with a hinged lid allows large debris like pine cones and sticks to flow out, preventing grass from clogging the drain. The design ensures that grass will grow over the edge of the plate, not the drain, maintaining proper drainage.

This low-maintenance pop-up drain is designed for easy cleaning. After heavy rainfall, the water will flush out any remaining debris. The shatter-proof material, made from 100% HDPE with no recycled materials or fillers, ensures durability and longevity. The pop-up lid is customizable, allowing for easy replacement with any 4-inch drain grate for various applications.

Fully assembled, the pop-up emitter stands at approximately 9.5 inches tall with the riser. Its versatility makes it a valuable tool for contractors to have in their arsenal for multiple tasks.
